Cucusoft’s contribution to the this category is a welcome one and more importantly an easy to use solution for anyone that is looking for the ability to put their DVD’s onto their iPod’s or iPhones. To tell the truth it will work with any portable video player you may have. Look at it this way, if it plays video then this software will work.
As you will see this software collection offers 2 great apps in one. First the DVD to iPod converter will allow you to simply convert your DVD movies into the standard iPod/iPhone format. Second the iPod Video Converter will allow you to convert any video you already have on your PC into the standard iPod/iPhone format.

Ease of Use: Excellent
Even though there are 2 seperate apps in this bundle, both are easy to use and work well together. The interfaces are very familar and you won’t get lost in trying to figure them out.
Performance: Excellent
Our Performance test came out to be what we expected based on our PC hardware. The performance is based on what processor your have, amount of RAM, etc… There will be satisfactory results if you use at least a MMX enhanced CPU or better, 32MB RAM, any VGA card and DirectX 8 or later installed.
Video Quality: Excellent
After we converted our test DVD and transfered to our iPhone we played back the converted file and the playback video quality was rather impressive. I was pleased with the sharpness of the video and will be using this software for future conversions.
Tech Support: Very Good
If anything is lacking from this software it would be with their Tech support system. Currently they only offer FAQ’s and Guides on their site. However these are in good detail and should help you through the rough spots if any should arise. As a last resort they have a support email address, but I probably wouldn’t expect a swift turnaround for this. But since I didn’t use it I can’t say for sure.
Summary:
To recap I would higly recommend Cucusoft DVD to iPod Suite if you are looking for a software tool to convert any DVD or your existing Video to your iPod or iPhones.

This really is by far the best DVD to iPod Software currently available. You have my word.
Thanks for providing this review it has helped me to decide on a good solution for putting my DVD videos onto my ipod. I’m pleased with the Cucusoft product. Thanks from Maine.
Does this work with the Touch model? I like to use that for my movies.
